Music Notes from Pattengill: We've been having a great time in music class so far this year, and now we are coming into the busy time of the year. Here's what's coming up for our students: March 15: Music Field trip — All 4th and 5th grade students will be going to Hill Auditorium to see the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Youth Concert. It offers a great opportunity for the kids to see professional musicians playing here in Ann Arbor. There are several songs for which they will be singing and playing the recorder along with the orchestra. What great fun! March 21: 4th Grade Recorder concert, 7pm in the cafetorium. Our 4th graders get a chance to show off and let you see what we've been learning by playing the recorder so far this year. Come and hear about the history of the recorder, and learn about our Recorder Karate program. April 25: 3rd Grade Spring Sing, 7pm in the cafetorium. Our songs are about the great state of Michigan. Come learn about Michigan's history, geography, and other things that make Michigan great! Hope to see you there.
