Please join us for our next restaurant night at Shake Shack on Tuesday, February, 10th!
The Bryant-Pattengill PTO exists to support every child, every family, and every classroom. Through a combination of student programs, family assistance, and community-building events, we work to ensure that all students feel supported, included, and able to thrive. Together, these programs ensure that every Bryant-Pattengill student is supported academically, emotionally, and socially, and that every family feels this is their community.
The PTO invests directly in learning, enrichment, and opportunity for Bryant-Pattengill students. These programs help bring the curriculum to life, expand students’ experiences, and support teachers in their work.
Our support includes:
Field Trips & Special Assemblies
We help fund and organize field trips, guest speakers, performances, and assemblies that enrich classroom learning and expose students to new ideas, cultures, and experiences.
Science Olympiad
The PTO supports Bryant-Pattengill’s participation in the Washtenaw Elementary Science Olympiad by recruiting coaches, organizing teams, and helping students explore science, engineering, and problem-solving through hands-on competition.
Girls on the Run
We help bring Girls on the Run to Pattengill, providing students with a program that builds confidence, encourages physical activity, and promotes teamwork and self-esteem.
Teacher Mini-Grants & Classroom Support
Teachers can apply for PTO-funded mini-grants to support special projects, classroom materials, and creative learning opportunities. We also help cover classroom needs that fall outside the regular school budget.
The PTO knows that students do best when families have what they need. We coordinate and fund programs that support families facing financial or life challenges so every child can participate fully in school life.
These efforts include:
Care Closet & Food Pantry
We help stock and maintain school-based resources that provide food, clothing, and basic necessities to families who need them.
Thanksgiving Drive & Snow Angels
Each year, families come together to provide holiday meals, gifts, and support for Bryant-Pattengill families in need.
If you’re in need of assistance, please contact your child's teachers and/or the school office. They can connect you to school and community resources. In addition, visit our Community Resources page for more information.
Strong schools are built on strong relationships. The PTO organizes events and traditions that bring families, students, and staff together and help everyone feel part of the Bryant-Pattengill community.
These include:
Popsicles on the Playground
Ice Cream Social
National African American Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID)
Lunch with a Loved One
Field Day
Classroom parties and playdates
These moments of connection create a welcoming, inclusive environment where families get to know one another and children feel proud of their school.
